SCHEDULE:
The workshop commences at 9 a.m. with good coffee and a warm-up writing exercise. Lunch is served at noon. The workshop ends at 4.

ABOUT JANISSE:
Janisse Ray is the author of six books, including the highly acclaimed Ecology of a Cracker Childhood and The Seed Underground, which won five national awards and was translated into French and Turkish. She holds an MFA from the University of Montana and two honorary doctorates. Janisse lives on an organic farm in Georgia where she is a gardener, seed saver, tender of farm animals, and homesteader. In 2015 she was inducted into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame and in 2017 was awarded the Governor’s Honors for the Arts and Humanities. Themes in her work include the natural world and sustainability, as well as history, place and culture.
